The Tree Hero Awards, held May 2015, honored the people and projects that have done great things for our region’s urban forest, and supported the programs of the Sacramento Tree Foundation.
Sakuramento is Sacramento's new celebration of our region's Japanese heritage, food and springtime cherry blossoms. Envision a breathtaking promenade of cherry trees, the "Hanami Line," bursting to life each spring on the Sacramento Riverfront. Sakuramento is planned for 2016 along the Sacramento Riverfront in collaboration with the Poworhouse Science Center, Sacramento Tree Foundation, City of Sacramento and American River Flood Control District.
